How to Enroll

For Registration for the 2023-2024 school year (scroll down for 22-23 current school year information). 

GRADES 1-5 ONLY (23-24 School Year)

For students registering with MDUSD for the first time.... It's a 3 step process:

1.  Parents can begin the enrollment process online anytime after January, 2023.  You must enroll with the address where the student lives at least 50% of the time.  Enrollment begins at your home school, even if you intend to apply for a transfer.

2. Pick up a supplemental packet from the Strandwood office or download the appropriate one here.  Supplemental packets are available for pick up starting on March 1st for grades 1-5 (No appointment is needed, just drop on by the office.)

3.  Complete registration at your home school's office.  Please come in during office hours, preferably between 10-11am and 1:30-2:30pm to best avoid delays.  You can also call to set up a time 925 685-3212.

At your registration appointment, please bring the online enrollment printout and the completed supplemental forms along with the following documents:

Address verification documents – see form in supplemental packet

1. Original birth certificate of student or passport
2. Immunization record

**A child cannot attend school without complete and up-to-date immunizations**

All documents must be brought in at time of registration.  Incomplete registrations are not accepted- you will be asked to return at a later date. 

To recap and provide a quick breakdown of steps:

1) Anytime, enroll online.

2) Pick up a supplemental packet beginning March 1st (for grades 1-5)

3) Complete registration in the school office.

Mid-Year/Start of Year Registration

 

For students registering with MDUSD for the first time to start their student immediately.... It's a 3 step process:

1.  Parents can begin the enrollment process online anytime .  You must enroll with the address where the student lives at least 50% of the time.  Enrollment begins at your home school, even if you intend to apply for a transfer, however requests for transfers for the 21-22 school year are no longer available.

2. Pick up a supplemental packet or download the appropriate one here  No appointment is needed, just drop on by during office hours.  Included in the supplemental packet are documents that pertain to Strandwood. 

3.  Complete registration in the home school's office.  If you are enrolling for this school year, please come in during office hours, preferably between 10-11am and 1:30-2:30pm to best avoid delays.
