Our 4th and 5th grade classrooms have elected Student Council Representatives!
We are so excited to announce the beginning of a Student Council program at Strandwood. It is a great opportunity for upper grade students to become more involved in the decision making process that occurs on campus, as well as engage in community service projects and gain experience in a leadership skills.
Each 4th and 5th grade classroom provided the opportunity for students to give a speech in front of their class. Ballots were cast by each class and votes counted. The coucil will meet after school each week on Mondays from 3:00-4:00. They will work together to decide upon and plan events for students.
I want to thank Heidi Beck and Keri Guncheon for carrying out my vision and all the work that goes into organizing a student council!
