Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Strandwood Community! We hope you had a safe and healthy holiday. We all hope you put away those new electronic devices and spent time reading, talking, playing and laughing with family and friends!

When students, parents and staff return from a break it is always a good time to review the rules, procedures and routines that keep our school safe and successful!

Follow traffic laws in the parking lot: slow down, signal, pay attention, and do not park your car unattended in the yellow zones (Late Friends TK/Kindergarten parents time to start practicing parking on campus or on the street and walking on!). Yellow zone is only for loading and unloading passengers. Rumor has it Mrs. Kim got a tow truck for Christmas. :0)

Arrive at school on time! The closer to 8:10 you arrive the more likely you are to be caught in the back up!

Be on time to pick up your student/s. All students are to wait in front of the MU at dismissal time if not picked up by parents on time. This is the only supervised area. If you are sending your student/s to wait in front of the Kindergarten classrooms or on either playground or on the corner either at Helen or Westover, it is not safe. We do not supervise students in those areas after school.

Volunteering on campus (we love it!)? Always sign in and out in the office. Wear a visitors/volunteer badge always!

Practice waiting in front of school to pick up your child. We want our hallways to be clear for safety and to support teaching up to the bell!

Get a good night's rest (you and your students!) and arrive on time to school.

Have your students eat breakfast before they come to school! Most important meal of the day!

Ask your student to remind you what the school's rules and classroom rules are - it is a good way to practice and remember before they come back!

Thank you all for sending us an amazing group of students every day!
